went to the nats game a couple weeks ago. it was freezing and i was miserable.
when i was six, my parents made me play little league baseball and i told my mom on the way to practice one day that there were three things i hated in the world.

the devil.
his slaves.
and baseball.

before the game, however, we went to justin's cafe, a new bar/restaurant near the stadium owned by a friend of ours. the food and service is awesome and i highly recommend it as a pre-game spot. i had the white pizza and it was amazing.

after attempting to go to a very crowded open city on saturday, we opted for the cereal bowl on connecticut.
turns out it was their grand opening.

if you love cereal like i do you will love this place--you can pick out and mix whatever kind of cereal you want and then put as many toppings (granola, sprinkles, fruit, etc.) on as you please.
not sure how many people could eat cereal for three meals a day (besides me) but i hope it makes it.

check it out here.

we tried to go to martin's tavern for brunch on sunday but everyone there was rude (they are usually not) so we went across the street to paolo's. now i tend to believe that paolo's drinks are slightly overpriced (or a lot overpriced) but i was really pleasantly surprised with their brunch. bloody marys, mimosas and hands down the best bellinis i've ever had only $3 each. if you are out shopping in georgetown on sunday afternoon--make a pit stop at paolo's and try one--you will not be disappointed.

blacksalt is always a place i forget about. nestled off of macarthur blvd. it can be easy to miss. we went to their happy hour on saturday--$1 oysters and pretty cheap cocktails from 4-7.
besides, any place that gives you rock candy in your cocktail is a-ok in my book. check out their menu and happy hour specials
here.

We went to Sticky Rice on H St. last night and as always, it was amazing. It's about as sketch a location as you can get but it is well worth it. Again, we ate our food and then remembered to take a picture of it, but trust me, it looked awesome.

we went to minh's in arlington last night and it was really really good. not much on atmosphere (reminds me of the restaurant in season one of SATC where Carrie thinks she is Big's "secret sex girl"), but the food and prices make up for it. the spring rolls are amazing.

liz is wearing pants and a top from zara, sam edelman boots, a rebecca minkoff bag and an urban leather jacket. there are no pictures of me because i was dressed like avril lavigne.

We went to 4 Provinces in Cleveland Park this weekend for a birthday party where we didn't know the host. Good bar food and a small back room for private (or not so private) parties.
